About Us
Community Webnet is a website designed to help community groups carry out local sustainable development projects. The website aims to offer community groups a variety of resources to guide them through the different stages of a project, as well as access to the experiences of other groups and an ability to communicate and interact with them. The Community Webnet offers a range of supports for your project:
- A searchable Projects Archive where you can see what hundreds of community groups have achieved
- An online community where you can participate in forums, question experts and read about other groups in a member's directory.
- A member's area where you can submit information about your projects to the projects database and manage your projects
- A range of materials and other resources to help you out
- A wide range of sources of funding for projects
- News and Events to keep you informed about what's going on

Community Webnet has a steering group of environmental groups from across Scotland who have taken responsibility for its development and ongoing direction. Partners include BTCV Scotland, Forward Scotland, Greenspace Scotland, Scottish Environmental Protection Agency, the Scottish Executive, Scottish Natural Heritage and Sustainable Scotland Network.
